- Plan, develop, and implement Florida-approved VPK curriculum and lesson plans that address all domains of early learning.
- Conduct daily classroom instruction and age-appropriate activities that encourage cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, student progress reports, and assessments as required by the Florida VPK program.
- Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that supports exploration and growth.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and staff to ensure each child's success and well-being.
- Participate in professional development and training sessions to stay current with VPK standards and teaching best practices.
- Ensure compliance with Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) regulations, licensing standards, and safety protocols.
- Supervise classroom aides or assistants, providing guidance and mentorship as needed.

Minimum 3 years of early childhood teaching experience (VPK or pre-K preferred).
- Valid Florida VPK Teaching Credential (CDA or higher).
- Completion of 45 DCF training hours and up-to-date CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood curriculum design and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a professional and positive relationship with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with assessment tools such as GOLD or HighScope.
- Experience with lesson planning and integrating technology into early learning.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
